For the sharp-edged air, milky sunlight, frosted soil beneath my feet, bracken’s crackle, and felled trees (for one day I shall lay down too) — thanksgiving.

WFH: DAY 48/LENT 17. 7.30 am: I returned to Parc Natur Penglais (as I had, yesterday) to exercise and commune. I swear — each time I return home, the world has changed just a little.

8.30 am: A review of the week ahead. I’d ear-marked the day for the final stages of mastering, CD website work, and the completion of the album’s textual documentation, in readiness for submission. Friday’s and Saturday’s efforts were reviewed. 11.00 am: The website was, now, good as it needed to be at this point of time. All The Aural Bible series sites are dynamic. They’ll be added to and adjusted as the albums they represent continue in the world and in my ears — being reviewed and talked about, finding a small audience, and changing in my perception and understanding.

Yesterday, while undertaking the my weekly domestic chores, I listened to The Bible in Translation and The Biblical Record over the ‘cans’. These albums are far enough away from me in time to be enjoyed — as though composed by someone else.

Back to mastering, and uploading the masters to the test site in order their relative volume and perceived loudness (which aren’t necessarily the same things). The examination is conducted at 43dB, then 30dB, and, finally, 50dB, in order to determine whether perceived differences and similarities between the outputs’ volume and presence remain consistent at various amplitudes. I am now sick of hearing the tracks.

1.30 pm: The process continued after lunch, in the background. In the foreground, my attention was focused upon the graphic designs for the CD’s wallet and booklet:

Mid afternoon, I photographed visual artefacts related to the source texts. These would find a place somewhere. Until I’ve sufficient clay, I can’t throw the pot.

6.30 pm: ‘Smalls’ duty: matching socks, folding undies, and putting them away. 7.30 pm: Back to graphic work.

On International Women’s Day: my mother, maternal grandmother, and paternal grandmother
